National Park Service to send bison from North Dakota to tribes

The National Park Service will be sending hundreds of bison to tribes and tribal organizations.

The animals are coming from the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. Up to 400 bison will be culled to help control the herd's population.

Most of the tribes that will receive the bison are in the Great Plains, The Bismarck Tribune reported.
