It's been a busy fire season for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes in Montana. CSKT Fire Management has responded to 44 fires so far, Char-Koosta News reported. Of those, 25 were caused by humans and 19 were caused by lightning. The fires caused by lightning have burned more than 400 acres on the reservation, the paper said. Damage from the human-caused fires wasn't reported but some have been deemed suspicious and are being investigated. Get the Story:
