The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma opened the doors to a new community center on Wednesday. The 15,000 square-foot facility is located in Ardmore. It features meeting rooms, two kitchens, a banquet room with a stage and a state-of-the-art audio visual system. “The Chickasaw Nation knows – the people know - the importance of family and fellowship and how each of these can enrich the lives of our citizens,” Gov. Bill Anoatubby said in a press release. “Now, this community center is one more way to underscore that focus on family and community." The tribe recently broke ground on a 26,000 foot child development center in Ardmore and opened a 66,000 square-foot health clinic there in 2012. Get the Story:
