The Navajo Nation Council is trying to resolve a dispute affecting the leadership of the Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company. Members of the board have fighting for control of the $458 million entity since last winter. Lawsuits in tribal and federal court have failed to resolve the matter so lawmakers are hoping to adopting a new charter, possibly later this week in a special session. Delegate Russell Begaye told The Farmington Daily Times that the board would be reduced from nine members to seven. Four current members would stay on board while three new ones would be appointed, he said. Get the Story:
