Columbian authorities question medicine man over teen's death

Authorities in Columbia have questioned a medicine man and two of his family members in connection with the death of a 19-year-old tourist.
Guillermo Mavisoy conducted a ceremony last month in which Henry Miller, a British teen, consumed
ayahuasca, also known as yage in the Tucanoan language. He said he's never see anyone die after drinking the psychedelic beverage.
“When it’s time to die, you die,” Mavisoy said in Spanish, the Associated Press reported.
Miller apparently got ill during the ceremony so Mavisoy asked two of his relatives to take the teen to a hospital. He said Miller died on the ride over.
No charges have been filed so far.
