Eastern Shoshone Tribe to share per cap from trust settlement

Members of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming are expected to receive per capita payments next week.

The payments were being held up due to the lack of a quorum on the tribal council. But a new member was seated and its appears the checks for about $13,200 will be distributed Monday and Tuesday, The Riverton Ranger reported.

The Eastern Shoshone Tribe and the Northern Arapaho Tribe shared in a $157 million settlement for mismanagement of their trust funds and trust assets. The Arapahos already distributed a $6,300 per capita payment.
