A new Indian art market is coming to Santa Fe, New Mexico, this August. The Indigenous Fine Art Market will take place August 21-23. That's the same weekend as the popular Santa Fe Indian Market. The main organizers of the new event, in fact, come from the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts, which has suffered a leadership shakeup in recent weeks. The group includes John Torres-Nez, a member of the Navajo Nation who was the chief operating officer at SWAIA until late last month. Related Stories:
