Interior Secretary Sally Jewell
will deliver the keynote at a tribal summit in Washington this week.
Jewell is speaking at a summit organized by
Rep. Derek Kilmer
(D-Washington) and hosted by the
Suquamish Tribe
on its reservation. She will address the attendees at 12pm Pacific time on Thursday, according to a
media advisory
.
The speech is Jewell's second public event in Indian Country in two weeks. Last Thursday, she delivered the commencement address at
Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute
in New Mexico.
