The Moapa Band of Paiute Indians in Nevada has completed a $2.4 million solar energy project.

The solar array powers the tribe's travel stop and convenience store. It was funded by a High Energy Cost Grant from the Agriculture Department.

The tribe has broken ground on another solar project that will provide power for the city of Los Angeles.
