Sycuan Band extends partnership with baseball team until 2018

The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation extended its relationship with the San Diego Padres.

The tribe will be the team's exclusive Native American Business Ventures and Native American Government partner through 2018. The renewal means the parties will have been working together for 23 years.

"Sycuan has been a proud partner of the San Diego Padres for nearly two decades," Chairman Daniel J. Tucker said in a press release. "Our shared commitment to the San Diego community is what has made this such a fruitful partnership thus far, and we expect that to continue for years to come."
