Opinions: Readers consider legal marijuana by Oglala Sioux Tribe

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader asked readers what they think about efforts by the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota to legalize marijuana. Some responses:
Robert Ruf: “I think tribal affairs such as a vote to legalize marijuana on reservations is a tribal issue. If the majority approve it, so be it! If states have the right to decide such matters, we had better reserve the tribe’s right to decide within their own borders.”

Wes Garcia: “The Oglala Sioux Tribe has more than enough problems without adding marijuana to their list of problems. It would not be good for the tribe or the state of South Dakota.”
