The
Ponca Tribe
of Nebraska is establishing an appellate court.
The tribe previously used the
Northern Plains Intertribal Court of Appeals
. But now it will have its own appeals court.
A swearing-in ceremony will be held February 27 for Chief Justice Mary Jo Hunter and judges Eldena Bear Don't Walk and Richard McGee.
