Oregon school district might remove Sherman Alexie's book

A public school district in Oregon might remove an award-winning yet controversial Sherman Alexie book from the reading list.

Parents have complained about the The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. They say they are uncomfortable with some of the language and some of the topics addressed.

The Sweet Home School Board will make a decision whether to remove the book from junior high classrooms next week, Northwest News Network reported.
