Mescalero Apache Nation inaugurates new set of leaders





The Mescalero Apache Nation of New Mexico inaugurated a new set of leaders last week.

Danny H. Breuninger Sr. will serve as president. He defeated two prior presidents in the primary and won the general election.

Robert Gabe Aguilar will serve as vice president. He defeated the incumbent.

"Today, myself, the vice president and council will begin a new chapter for the Mescalero Apache Tribe," Breuninger said at the inauguration, The Ruidoso News reported.
