Confirmation hearing for Diane Humetewa as federal judge

The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a confirmation hearing next Tuesday for Diane Humetewa to serve as a federal judge in Arizona.

Humetewa is a member of the Hopi Tribe who was the first Native woman to serve as a U.S. Attorney. If she's confirmed by the Senate, she will be the first Native woman in the federal judiciary.

The hearing takes place at 10am in Room 226 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
