Judge won't force Hualapai Tribe to enter arbitration proceedings

A federal judge won't force the Hualapai Tribe of Arizona into arbitration over the popular Grand Canyon Skywalk tourist attraction.

The Grand Canyon Skywalk Development won a $28.5 million arbitration award against a tribal corporation. But Judge David Campbell said the tribe itself hasn't waived its sovereign immunity.

Campbell also said the company has failed to exhaust its remedies in tribal court.
