Fashion designer Patricia Michaels of Taos Pueblo is already hard at work on a new collection she will be showing at New York Fashion Week this September.

Michaels has been to New York Fashion Week before, having made it to the final three on Season 11 of Project Runway. She didn't win the top prize but she's looking to maintain the exposure she gained as one of the show's favorite designers.

Designer Zac Posen, who was one of this season's judges, has asked Michaels to collaborate on a textile project, the Associated Press reported. Her work will also be the subject of a retrospective for the Smithsonian Institution.
