Protesters removed from old Indian museum site in Brazil

Authorities in Brazil removed about 25 protesters from an old Indian museum on Monday, the Associated Press reported.

Indian activists have occupied the site for several years to prevent the government from demolishing it. The government has promised to preserve the museum but protesters say they were worried about possible destruction.

The site sits near the stadium that will be used for next year's World Cup and in the area that will host the 2016 Summer Olympics so Indian activists have been concerned about development plans.
