Joba Chamberlain
, a member of the
Winnebago Tribe
of Nebraska who wowed crowds with his pitching skills, is set to join the Detroit Tigers.
Chamberlain reportedly signed a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the team. He will receive performance bonuses.
Chamberlain played seven seasons with the New York Yankees but was not offered an extension.
