Mohegan Tribe elects veteran Kevin Brown as new chairman

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has a new chairman, The New London Day reports.

Kevin Brown, a retired Army colonel, won election to the tribal council in August. He was selected as chair on Monday, the paper said.

"To transition from a lifetime of service in the military to another opportunity to serve at home, with my family - it doesn't get any better than that," Brown told the Day.

Brown succeeds Bruce "Two Dogs" Bozsum as chairman.
