The Bureau of Indian Affairs has extended the comment period on land-into-trust application for the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians in California. The tribe wants 1,400 acres in trust. Plans call for a portion of the land to be used for housing. Comments on the Camp 4 Fee-to-Trust Environmental Assessment will be accepted until October 7. Get the Story:
