Blackfeet Nation tells BIA to stop construction of new dorm

The Blackfeet Nation of Montana is calling on the Bureau of Indian Affairs to stop work on a new dormitory at a school on the reservation.
The tribal council passed a resolution saying that the BIA did not conduct an environmental assessment before starting work on the project. A prehistoric bison slaughter site has been uncovered there.
The resolution also says the BIA did not consult the tribe about construction plans.
