Oneida Nation court stops removal proceeding against chair

Ed Delgado, the chairman of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, won't be facing a removal vote before the general council.

Tribal members collected enough signatures to force a vote. But the tribe's Appeals Commission, a judicial body, said there weren't grounds to move forward.

Delgado is in the third year of his four-year term.
