Charges dismissed against trio of Passamaquoddy fishermen

Charges were dismissed against three members of the Passamaquoddy Tribe of Maine who were accused of violating state fishing laws.

The state went after dozens of members of the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Pleasant Point and the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township for elver fishing earlier this year. Some face civil charges while others face criminal charges.

The civil charges against the first three members were dismissed on a technicality, The Bangor Daily News reported.
