The
Coeur d'Alene Tribe
of Idaho paid tribute to two elders who passed away recently.
The parade during the annual
Julyamsh powwow
was renamed in honor of Clifford SiJohn. The 67-year-old elder, who was a champion dancer, died on December 24, 2012.
The tribe also said goodbye to renowned artist
George Flett
. The 66-year-old elder, who died on January 30, was also a frequent powwow participant.
