Couple from Sagkeeng First Nation wins $1M with lottery ticket

A couple from the Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba has won a $1 million lottery jackpot.
Winola Canard and Jeremiah Courchene first thought they won $1,000. They were surprised when they found out their Western Max ticket was worth $1 million.
"I told the clerk I didn't believe him," Canard told CBC News.
The Sagkeeng First Nation now boasts three big lottery winners. Kirby and Marie Fontaine won $50 million in 2009 and have been generous with their earnings while another person from the reserve won more than $13,000 in 2011.
