Tribal leaders in Oklahoma are meeting Gov. Mary Fallin (R) to discuss their tobacco compacts and other issues.

The United Indian Nations of Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas (UINOKT) represents 25 tribes in Oklahoma whose compacts are expiring this month. The tribes are aiming to present a united front at the meeting today.

"The goal is for the state and the tribal governments to meet government-to-government, to build a strong relationship and in turn, meet on a regular basis to discuss our issues and concerns,” Muscogee Nation Principal Chief George Tiger said in a press release.

The meeting is being held at the tribe's River Spirit Event Center.
