Center for Native American Youth hosts ICWA discussion in DC





The Center of Native American Youth will host a discussion on the Indian Child Welfare Act in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.

Former Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North Dakota), who created the center, is hosting the discussion. He will be joined by Hilary Tompkins, the Solicitor at the Interior Department; Robert McGhee, the treasurer of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians in Alabama; and Seanna Pieper-Jordan, a Native American intern at the center.

The discussion takes place from 12pm to 1:30pm at the Aspen Institute. It will be webcast at www.aspeninstitute.org/events/2013/06/06/indian-child-welfare-highlighting-invisible
