Two Holy Rosary boys make good

It is ironic that two ex-students of the old Holy Rosary Indian Mission boarding school, Tim Giago and Charles Trimble, would both be inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame.

According to Father Peter Klink there are no other Holy Rosary boys with that distinction. He said, “It is not only an honor for both of you, but it is an honor for Holy Rosary Mission and Red Cloud Indian School.”

Trimble will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in September, while Giago was inducted in 1994. Giago also holds the distinction of being the first Native American ever inducted into the South Dakota Newspaper Hall of Fame.

Both were classmates at Holy Rosary (Red Cloud) in the 1940s and 1950s.
