Oneida Nation land agreement clears one vote in New York

A landmark agreement between the Oneida Nation and the state of New York won approval in Oneida County on Tuesday.

The deal resolves a slew of land, taxation and jurisdiction issues. It ends litigation over a pending land-into-trust application and caps total acquisitions to 25,000 acres.

The deal goes before Madison County tomorrow.
