The
Wisconsin Building Commission
won't be revoking a $250,000 grant for the
Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa
.
The tribe received the money for a cultural center. A Republican lawmaker wanted to revoke the grant due to a dispute over tribal fishing limits.
Rep. Dean Kaufert (R), however, decided to drop the effort. He said the tribe's limits won't be affecting non-Indian fishermen.
