The Hopi Tribe of Arizona will receive a federal permit to take up to 40 nesting golden eagles, the Associated Press reports.
The permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service applies to land within the Hopi Reservation and within the Navajo Nation.
The tribe can take only five eagles from the Navajo Nation.
The tribe uses eagles for ceremonial purposes.
