Ex-police chief for Meskwaki Tribe enters plea in firearm case





The former police chief for the Meskwaki Nation of Iowa entered a plea in a firearm case.

Chris Knouse, 46, was accused of transferring a firearm to another person without a proper permit. He entered an Alford plea to non-felonious misconduct in office and was laced on self-supervised probation for one year.

The tribe fired Knouse in January 2012 after learning of the incident.
