South Dakota to consult with tribes about newest state park
south dakota
Posted: Wednesday, March 27, 2013
The
South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks
will meet with tribes next month to discuss the state's newest park.
A bill that created the 615-acre Good Earth State Park at Blood Run was signed into law last week. The site was a major trading post and ceremonial village for tribes in the region up until the 1700s.
The meeting with tribes will take place April 8, the Associated Press reported.
