The
House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies
held an oversight hearing on Indian health on Tuesday.
The committee heard from Yvette Roubideaux, the director of the
Indian Health Service
; Rex Lee Jim, the vice president of the
Navajo Nation
, who testified on behalf of the
National Indian Health Board
; and D’Shane Barnett, the executive director of the
National Council of Urban Indian Health
. Two additional witnesses represented the medical and dental fields.
