Minnesota tribes forced to cut back at schools with sequester

Tribes in Minnesota are already cutting back at their schools due to the sequester of the federal budget.

The Red Lake Nation has already reduced security staff. The White Earth Nation might have to cut its school year short.

“It’s devastating," White Earth Chairwoman Erma Vizenor told The Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The Fond du Lac Band expects to cut 25 slots from its Head Start program.
