Umatilla Tribes awarded $257K grant for wind energy project

The
Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation
of Oregon has received a $257,372 grant for a wind energy project.
The tribe plans to place a 50-kilowatt wind turbine on top of the
Tamástslikt Cultural Institute
. It will be a part of a real-time exhibit to educate visitors at the museum.
The grant came from
Pacific Power’s Blue Sky renewable energy program
.
