The
Federal Advisory Task Force on Violence Against American Indian and Alaska Native Women
will be meeting in Washington, D.C., later this week.
The task force was established by the 2005 reauthorization of the
Violence Against Women Act
. The panel will advise the
National Institute of Justice
as it undertakes a baseline study on violence against Native women.
The meeting takes place this Thursday and Friday at the
Department of Justice
, 810 7th Street NW., 3rd Floor Ballroom, in Washington, D.C.
