Senate committee to hold hearing on Interior Secretary pick





The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has scheduled a nomination on March 7 for Sally Jewell to head the Interior Department.

The hearing will take place Thursday, March 7. A witness list hasn't been released.

Jewell currently serves as chief executive officer of Recreational Equipment Inc.. If confirmed, she would oversee the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians.
