Idaho House passes tax exemption for tribal owned property





The Idaho House voted 64-3 in favor a bill to grant a tax exemption on property owned by tribes.

House Bill 140 bars counties from taxing tribal-owned land. The bill doesn't apply to individually owned land on reservations.

The bill awaits a vote in the state Senate.
