The
Southern Ute Tribe
of Colorado is expanding its radio station with the help of a federal grant.
KSUT Tribal Radio
will be able to reach 30,000 new listeners, director Sheila Nanaeto said. The signal now reaches into the New Mexico portion of the
Navajo Nation
.
KSUT 89.7 FM received a $110,000 grant from the
National Telecommunications and Information Administration
. The tribe matched the grant with another $35,000.
