The
Yakama Nation
of Washington could receive $188 million in a trust fund settlement with the federal government.
Talks are ongoing but a document obtained by The Yakima Herald-Republic cited the figure. If the $188 million settlement is finalized, it would be the second largest that the Obama administration has negotiated.
The largest was $193 million for the
Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation
, also in Washington.
