Yakama Nation confirms negotiations to settle trust fund suit

The Yakama Nation of Washington confirmed talks with the Obama administration to settle a trust fund lawsuit.
Tribal leaders, however, said negotiations remain confidential. The secrecy has spawned a petition that calls for the removal of the entire council.
So far, more than 2,700 tribal members have signed the petition, The Yakima Herald-Republic reported.
