Robinson Rancheria chairwoman headed to trial in theft case





Tracey I. Avila, the chairwoman of the Robinson Rancheria Pomo Indians of California, will go to trial February 27 in a theft case.

Avila, 51, faces one felony count of grand theft. She is accused of stealing more than $60,000 from the Elem Pomo Tribe, where she was employed as fiscal officer.

Avila has pleaded not guilty.
