Coeur d'Alene Tribe meets over law enforcement agreement





The Coeur d'Alene Tribe and Benewah County in Idaho might be making some changes to their law enforcement agreement.

The cross-deputization agreement lets tribal officers enforce state laws on the reservation. It was controversial but newly-elected Sheriff Dave Resser appears more willing to work with the tribe.

"Our goal is public safety, regardless of the politics," Resser told The St. Maries Gazette Record.
