CSKT woman named as director of Billings area office of IHS

Anna Whiting Sorrell, a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, has been named director of the Billings area office of the Indian Health Service.
Sorrell started her job on Monday. She most recently served as director of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.
"Montanans recognize Anna's leadership, hard work and success in improving access to health care in Montana. I congratulate her on her new post and look forward to working with her to provide folks in Indian County with quality health care," Sen. Jon Tester (D-Montana) said in a press release.
