Suit: Sergeant said rapes happen on reservation 'all the time'

A King County, Washington, police sergeant who allegedly told detectives not to investigate rapes of sexual assaults on the Muckleshoot Reservation has been transferred amid a sexual harassment lawsuit.

Sgt. Anthony Provenzo told a female detective that rapes happen on the reservation "all the time," according to the complaint. He's since been transferred to the Metro transit police department, The Seattle Times reported.

Provenzo and another sergeant, Paul Mahlum, are accused of making sexually abusive and lewd comments to three female detectives.
