Chief of Cherokee Nation discusses recent property purchases

Chief Bill John Baker of the
Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma discussed three recent land purchases.

Businesses bought the 15,000 square-foot Oak Creek Village in Tahlequah for more than $1 million.
The tribe will use the building for health programs, Baker said.
The tribe also bought 113.5 acres adjacent to its ceremonial grounds and the Cherokee Trails Golf Course.
The purchase price won't be reported until the deal closes.
Finally, CNB is spending more than $8 million for more than 300 acres. The property includes the Cherry Springs Golf Course.
