Chippewa Indians in Minnesota has placed some Head Start staff on leave after a 3-year-old boy was left alone on a bus in zero-degree weather.
Ty Stiffarm was left on the bus for at least three hours on Monday. His mother said he could have frozen to death if he hadn't been discovered by someone who heard him screaming.
“He said, ‘I was crying and nobody helped me,’ ” Brooklynn Wait told The Duluth News Tribune.
Wait said the bus driver apologized but the tribe is conducting an investigation.
