Bank wants to close accounts for Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes

A bank in Oklahoma is seeking permission to close down accounts held by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, The Native American Times reports.

The accounts contain about $6.4 million. Rival leaders have battled for control of the money and the bank wants to avoid future disputes.

The request to close the accounts will be considered by a state court judge.
